Long Neck of the Lake is an alpine season lake that reserves water into a lake during the wet season and turns into a swamp during the dry season. Due to the elevation and climatic factors, Long Neck of the Lake is mostly in the form of alpine marsh wetlands with mainly lush wula sedge. Long Neck of the Lake is mysterious because of the surrounding area higher than the wetland, the dense and dark green virgin forests, and few people and more animals.
