Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive - Amanjiwo

<p>Depart by train from Central Jakarta (Gambir Station) at 9.45am. The journey will include a lecture on the history of Java and the surrounding sites of Yogyakarta by Amanjiwo Resident Anthropologist. Upon arrival in Yogyakarta station at 5.35pm, guest will be met by Amanjiwo representative and transferred to resort.</p>

Day 2: Amanjiwo Experience

<p>Borobudur is an ancient colossus layered in meaning. Discover its secrets with a private guide who will reveal the intricacies and subtle meaning of the monument’s layout and its detailed bas reliefs. Adhering to national policy, guests are only allowed to walk around the temple but not allowed to climb the temple – USD 152 pp</p>
<p>Prambanan is known particularly for its bas-relief of the Ramayana carvings and the Prambanan lion motive on all the three temples, Brahma, Wishnu & Shiva. Although still under restoration, Prambanan can be viewed from a nearby perimeter platform; making it a must to visit – USD 285 pp</p>

Day 3: Amanjiwo Experience

<p>E-bike Village Tour<br />Cycling is an enchanting way of soaking in the atmosphere of Kampung (village) life, and to reach into the soul of Java. You may come across a pottery village, an orchid farm, a tofu producer, a museum of Indonesian modern art, or simply a group of children playing – USD 49 pp</p>
<p>Menoreh Hills Trekking<br />Explore the Menoreh Hills on foot while enjoying panoramic views of Amanjiwo, Borobudur and the Kedu Plain. In the 1820s, Prince Diponegoro (Java’s charismatic hero) sought spiritual wisdom in the caves above Amanjiwo, and today Javanese still come to the Menoreh Hills to seek revelation – USD 140</p>
<p>Ramayana Dinner<br />A great way to take advantage of the mild evening temperatures and enjoy a local dance performance, is a private barbeque set in the privacy of your room or in other locations throughout the resort. There is a choice between a western or Indonesian barbecue style menu, prepared on the spot by your own chef – USD 484</p>

<p>After breakfast, time at leisure before checking out and transferring to the airport for departing flights.</p>
