Day-by-Day Itinerary
<p>Arrival at KLIA, meet by driver and transfers to your hotel. In the evening, Kuala Lumpur night tour. Chinatown – Chinatown Sample the local teh tarik (warm frothy tea) named after an act of mixing tea and milk in the air without spilling it to warm you on your evening stroll. Malayan Railway Administration Building (Pass By) and stopover at Merdeka Square. The River of Life Kuala Lumpur has been listed in world’s top 10 Waterfront Districts . Equipped with a Dancing Symphony Fountain, Blue Corridor, fog and<br />lighting effects. While waiting for the show to start around 8pm, you can enjoy shopping at the nearby Suria KLCC. </p>
<p><em>(Tour sequent subject to weather and traffic conditions)</em> <br /><strong>Overnight (4 nights) Kuala Lumpur </strong></p>
<p>Discover the old and the new on this full-day tour which is designed to give you the best possible introduction to this bustling city as well as the outskirt areas. s. First we will make a photo stop at Petronas Twin Towers. Later head out of the metropolis to visit the extraordinary Batu Caves, a limestone hill riddled with caves and cave temples. Royal Selangor Pewter factory, learn about the production methods of this pioneering pewter maker and enjoy a short guided tour of the factory. Stop at Independence Square before the visit to KL City Gallery <em>(Closed on Tuesday)</em>. The National Mosque is a uniquely designed mosque that embodies a contemporary expression of traditional Islamic art, calligraphy and ornamentation. At night transfers to Atmosphere 360 Restaurant KL Tower for buffet dinner. Thereafter, return to hotel.</p>
<p>Day trip to historical town Malacca. Founded in 1403, Melaka is Malaysia’s oldest town, full of fascinating history and multi-cultural heritage. Relive history as you walk through the city’s historic buildings including the Stadthuys, St. Paul’s church and the mighty fortress – Porta de Santiago, built by the Portuguese in 1512. Then, have time to stroll along the Jonker Street, known for its antiques, souvenirs, arts and crafts. Lunch is included. </p>
<p><em>Please note: As there is quite a bit of walking on this tour, good walking shoes will be required</em><br /><em>Thereafter, we return to Kuala Lumpur (journey approx. 2 hours)</em></p>
<p>Morning at own leisure. Afternoon Firefly Phenomenon tour at Kuala Selangor. This afternoon tour takes you southwest of the city, travelling through the rural countryside. Sekinchan Paddy Field located about 95km from Kuala Lumpur has vast, well-irrigated and organized paddy fields. Next, stopover at Masjid Jamek Sultan Ibrahim follow by Melawati Hill has several remnants from the past that appeal to those interested in its history. Thereafter, reaching Kuala Selangor wetland reserve, you will be rewarded with a breathtaking scenery of the mangrove forests, home to an incredibly nocturnal beetle commonly called firefly. </p>
<p><em>Please note: Like many nature’s great events, the display of the flashing fireflies is influenced by weather conditions.</em><br /><em>Please also bear in mind that mosquitoes come out more in the evening and at night, so it is essential that you bring</em><br /><em>along insect repellent.</em></p>
<p>Free until time transfers to airport for your flight (Own booking) to Kuching. Upon arrival, meet by driver and proceed for City Orientation tour or check into hotel (subject to your arrival flight timing). Proceed to Tua Pek Kong Temple, one of the oldest temples in Sarawak. Followed by the Margherita Fort, It’s hard to <br />miss such a stunning structure. Next you will be able to witness traditional Malay houses built on stilts. Before the tour ends, look out for the Clock Tower and a granite obelisk built in memory of Rajah Brooke. </p>
<p><strong>Overnight (2 nights) Kuching – Waterfront Hotel, Premier room</strong></p>
<p>Today tour begin with a visit to Sarawak Cultural Village, there are replica buildings representing every major ethnic group in Sarawak mainly the Bidayuh, Iban, Orang Ulu, Penan, Melanau, Malay & Chinese. Sarawak Cultural Village also has an award-winning dance troupe that will entertain you with our multi-cultural <br />dance performance in our Village Theatre twice a day. Our cultural show runs twice a day at 11.30 am and 4 pm. <br />Lunch at a local restaurant and followed by a visit to Borneo Cultures Museum is a modern five-story building with a distinctive architectural design that reflects Sarawak’s unique traditional crafts and rich cultural heritage.</p>
<p>8.00 am, depart for Batang Ai Iban Longhouse (Nanga Mengkak Longhouse) by overland (approximately 5hrs+). Lunch en route. Continue journey and upon reaching Batang Ai Jetty, a native Iban longboat awaits you for an hour’s boat ride across the Batang Ai Hydro Power Dam. Relax on the ruai (common verandah) and spend time with the Iban people and understand their history and culture with beliefs. After dinner with Iban family, participate in the Warriors Dance (Ngajat), merry making and enjoy some local rice wine (Tuak & Langkau). </p>
<p><strong>Overnight (2 nights) stay at longhouse</strong> – -multi sharing and please be prepared for slight discomfort due to basic <br />amenities.</p>
<p>Wake up to the sound of birds and frogs. After a simple local breakfast but appetizing, get ready for the day’s long trek – The long trek will go through scenic jungle trails, crossing steams/river and encounter a wide array of flora and fauna. You can partake in fishing and help to collect edible ferns and bamboo shoots for a Picnic Lunch inside the rainforest. Return to Nanga Mengkak on the same route.</p>
<p>After breakfast, witness a blowpipe demonstration, followed by a mock cock fighting demonstration. Depart from longhouse by longboat for an hour’s ride Continue by overland to return to Kuching. Lunch en route and visit Semenggoh Nature Reserve. Explore the perfect experience to encounter one of Borneo’s endangered species – Orangutans. Besides orangutans, Semenggoh Nature Reserve is also a habitat for rare flora and fauna including the giant squirrel, pigmy squirrel, gibbons and splendid variety of birds.</p>
<p><strong>Overnight Kuching – Waterfront Hotel, Premier room</strong></p>
<p>Transfers to Kuching airport for your flight (own booking) to Mulu National Park. Upon arrival, meet by tour guide and proceed to hotel for check in. Afternoon, meet at resort lobby and transfer to Mulu National Park headquarters. Upon registration and proceed on plank walk for 3 Km to reach Deer Cave & Lang Cave. After exploring the caves, proceed to bats observatory to observe bats flying out of caves entrance at late evening (Only confine to fine weather). Return journey on the same plank walk to park headquarters and transfer back to resort. </p>
<p><strong>Overnight (2 nights) – Mulu Marriot Resort & Spa</strong></p>
<p>Transfer by longboat proceed to Batu Bungan – Penan Settlement, to observe the tribe lifestyle and to select handicrafts on display for sale at Penan Settlement. Continue journey by longboat to Wind Cave and Clearwater Cave. Picnic lunch at Clearwater summer huts and later on you can enjoy swimming at Clearwater spring. After lunch, return transfer by longboat back to Mulu Marriott Resort. </p>
<p>Free until time transfers to airport for your flight to Miri. Upon arrival, meet by driver and transfers to your hotel. </p>
<p><strong>Overnight Miri – Pullman Hotel, Standard room</strong></p>
<p>Meet at hotel lobby and depart for Niah National Park (Two and a half hour ride ). Upon arrival Park headquarters, register and have a brief study of the park information at the information center. Then, take a short boat to cross the river to visit Niah Museum. After visit museum proceed on plank walk for 3 Km <br />to the caves main entrance. To walk to the cave take about 45 minutes. The Niah Cave is famous for its edible birds nest found high-up in the cave about 300 ft from the ground. Return journey on the same plank walk to Niah National Park for lunch. After lunch, transfer to Tusan Beach for <br />sunset view. Miri is one of the best place for sunset view. Back to your hotel. </p>
<p>Free until time transfers to Miri Airport for KLIA or Changi Airport to connect your international flight back home.</p>
